Hello Sunrise Families! We are pleased to announce that our volunteer chess master, Gil, would like to offer an advanced chess class for a small group of high-performing chess players, in addition to the regularly scheduled Tuesday class. This class will be held on Fridays from April 21st - June 9th from 4-5pm in the Sunrise library and will be free of charge.

Due to the high performance expectations and limited space, Gil will be hosting a try-out for this class this coming Monday, 4/3 from 4-5pm in the Sunrise Activity Room (stage area of the gym). Students will each play 5-6 moves of a chess game with Gil in order for him to assess their skill level. The students do not need to prepare anything for the tryout.
