Join Gil Lapid Shafriri, a national chess master, to learn and play chess with your friends here at Sunrise!

Dates: Every Tuesday from April 18th - June 6th (8 classes)

Time: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM 

Location: Sunrise Library

The hour-long club will consist of a short presentation by the instructor on a specific chess concept followed by a chance for the children to ask questions and work through new concepts. The rest of the time will be spent having the kids play chess with each other and solve chess problems.

Important Details

• The game of chess will NOT be taught at the club. This club is best suited for children who are already familiar with the game and play with friends or family. If your child is not yet familiar with chess, have them start practicing! We will re-open registration several times throughout the year.
• All children need to come to the club with a chess board. These will not be provided. If this is a burden or barrier for your family to purchase, please contact robynnazar@gmail.com or the school office staff.
• Chess club is Free for all sunrise students.
• Registration is first-come first serve
