The Math Team is back at Sunrise! We have a couple of amazing volunteers who are creating this unique opportunity for our Sunrise 4th and 5th graders! At this time the math team is open to ONLY 4th and 5th graders.

The students will meet weekly from January to March for math instruction in preparation for the Math is Cool competition at Liberty High School in Renton on Friday, March 3, 2023 @ 3:30 PM. Math is Cool is a one-day competition that consists of the following sections: Mental Math, Individual Test, Team Multiple Choice and Team Test.

In order to accomodate kids who may be participating in the school play in January, classes will be virtual from Jan 5th - Feb 9th then in-person from February 16rd - March 9, 2023. In-person classes will run every Thursday from 4pm-5pm in the Sunrise library.

Parents will be required to come to at least one class to help with class supervision. We will be sending out a sign-up genius after registration closes.

The fee is $25 per student to cover registration for the Math is Cool competition and supplies.
