The Math Team is back at Sunrise! We have an amazing voluenteer, Boris Gonzales,  is who are creating this unique opportunity for our Sunrise 4th and 5th graders! At this time the math team is open to ONLY 4th and 5th graders.

Parent information meeting will be held 9/21 from 5-6pm in the Sunrise Library.

The students will meet every other week for math instruction in preparation for the Math is Cool and Math Olympiad competitions. Classes will be held on Thursdays from 4-5pm. Exact dates can be accessed via the link above.

The Math Olympiad competition is 5 monthly contests administered at the Sunrise Library from November through March. The kids will be given 5 progams which must be completed within 30 minutes. 

Math is Cool is a one-day competition that consists of the following sections: Mental Math, Individual Test, Team Multiple Choice and Team Test. This comptetion will be held at Liberty High School in Renton. 

• Grade 4 competion: March 23rd (Sat) from 9:30-2PM
• Grade 5 Competion: March 9th (Sat) from 3:30-8PM

The fee is $40 per student to cover competiion fees, study material, snacks, pizza on day of competition, etc.
