Sunrise 4th and 5th graders—are you ready to become a “mathlete” and join the Sunrise Math Olympiad Team? Challenge yourself with new math and problem solving skills, and test what you’ve learned by competing in math tournaments. Students will work on curriculum that is 1-2 years ABOVE grade level.
The Math Olympiad Team is a PTA sponsored, volunteer run program. The program runs from October to April. There will be a $35 fee per student (scholarships available). Students will participate in monthly in-class and local math contests.

The class will be taught this year by Phil Lucido and Petru Cociorva. It is tentatively scheduled to start on October 9th and run each early-release Wednesday from 2:30 to 3:30.
We’re still setting up how we’ll be taking registrations and payment this year, so email phil@lucido.net to get added to the list of those interested. I’ll be emailing once we know how payment can be made. Please respond quickly – space is limited.
